About

As a photographer I aim to transform how I see the world around me. I find intrigue in the grey zones, spaces and objects in the midst of moving through time. A camera allows me to capture a slice of the subject’s life. I cannot force a perspective or story out of a subject, but, instead, only provide the basis for the viewer to create their own stories. I shoot frames of a subject tali qualis, unadulterated by unnecessary information.

Outside of the emotional or philosophical aspects of my art, I value the technicality of it as well. I find pleasure in the process of creating and capturing a photo. I think there is a lot more enjoyment to be found when one focuses on aspects outside of just pressing the shutter. As time goes on I dive deeper into the process of manipulating light, the basis of photography. This has led me to experiment more with an analog process as well as traditional techniques, such as camera obscura work. This technical aspect has only made me fall more in love with the artform and to discover how much more it is than a simple documentation.

I have been heavily inspired by many photographers, including Vivian Maier, Abelardo Morrell, and Lee Friedlander as well as filmmakers such as David Lynch and Stanley Kubrik, who all have brought such original and creative aspects into the work they produced.
